FAQ
Volunteer requirements:
All Families Are Required to Volunteer 10 Hours Per Performance. This can be done hourly as your dancer is in classes (Steaming Costumes/ Hand sewing details on costumes) or during events like picture days or performances.
Volunteer Waiver Fee - If your family is unable to volunteer, or complete the 10 hour expectation, a required $50 fee will be added to your account to employ staff to help cover the volunteer deficit.
Withdrawal Policy:
30 Days Advance Notice Must Be Given to Withdraw. Any outstanding costume fees must be paid in full before withdrawal
Automatic Reenrollment: Students are automatically registered for the next season unless 30 withdrawal notice is given - if not planning to continue in July, you need to tell us by June1 to avoid being charged on July 1
Pre-Performance Withdrawal Fee: If a student withdraws early from classes after costumes have been fitted or choreography has been set prior to the active performance's completion, It will incur a $100 Pre-Performance Withdrawal Fee due to the inconvenience and added cost that the studio incurs to re-choreograph, rearrange dancers, find dance partners or alternates, alter performance order, etc
Digital Video fee: $20 Family Digital Video Fee Per Production (Winter & Summer) (A Digital Video Fee is Billed Every November 1st & May 1st)
Newsletters: Newsletters are emailed at the start of each month with important information like events, rehearsals, or activities happening or held by En Pointe. It also has a contact page. The Newsletter is also printed and on the front desk for parent or student convenance.
Referral Credit Program: When a new student enrolls, there is a space for them to tell us where where heard about us. If they mention your name (and full register for classes) you receive a $20 credit added to your account. There is no limit to the number of referral credits you may receive.
BIG EVENTS:
Picture days: take place at the ballet studio typically 1-2 months before performance. Dancers wear a nude (Skin Tone) leotard, with ballet tights and slippers. They put their costume on top of leotard for modesty. The whole class will take a group photo and they will take single pictures. Picture packages may be purchased from the photographer directly.
In Studio Rehearsals: Sometimes classes need to practice choreography togehter as their parts interact on stage so a Saturday rehearsal may be scheduled
Staging rehearsals: Can take place at the performance venue on stage or at the studio. This where dancers get to practice their performance piece to prepare for performance.
Dress Rehearsals: Takes pace at performance venue in costume.
Performance: Dancers will have from 1 to 4 performances every 6 month.
Costumes:
ALL Nutcracker costumes are rentals. June performance: some classes are rentals and some are purchases. Typically, the younger classes are purchased
Class assistant costume fee: Class assistants will have have costumes fees relevant to the class they are assisting (either purchased or rented)
Soloist and Principal Fees: Soloist and principals have additional rehearsals to prepare for performance so therefore have additional fees for those rehearsals.
