Nutcracker at The Grand Theatre

The SLCC Grand Theatre, originally opened in 1931 as a High school until its closure in 1988. When South High closed, the building was transformed into part of Salt Lake Community College, with the Grand Theatre being preserved and repurposed as a cultural venue.

This transition allowed the historic site to continue serving the community, now as a premier performing arts center, while maintaining its architectural charm and historical significance.

En Pointe Ballet celebrated its 5th annual performance of The Nutcracker at The Grand in December 2025 and is SO excited to be holding its 6th Nutcracker performance there in December 2026.

Dancers love performing on the large beautiful stage. The principals and soloists feel so special in the large back stage dressing room. Parents love the view from every plush seat watching their dancers shine on stage. En Poine staff love collaborating with Grand Theatre staff.

We are so excited for another year of Nutcracker!
