Class Descriptions & Times
A shining gem at En Pointe Ballet is our Partnering Program. Starting at age 11, dancers take Jr. Partnering where they learn the basics of Ballet partnering or Pas De Deux.
Their first partnering experience is to perform on stage in the Nutcracker as Party girls and Party Boys
As Dancers advance in their pointe skills, they have the opportunity to advance in their partnering skills as well. We have 4 levels of partnering at En Pointe Ballet:
Jr. Partnering (Friday 5:00-6:00)
Partnering for Pre-Pointe 2 (Thursday 4:00-5:00)
Partnering for Pointe-1 & Pointe 2 (Thursday 8:00-9:00)
Intermediate Partnering (Thursday 6:30-7:30)
Advanced Partnering (Tuesday 6:30-7:30)
While Partnering is an optional class at En Pointe Ballet, it is one of the things that makes En Pointe unique. No other pre-professional program offers professional level partnering. Our dancers learn professional choreography and lifts.
Dancers will typically not be advanced into Advanced Pointe class without having partnering skills. All Advanced Pointe dancers receive roles that require Pas De Deux choreography so Partnering class is a must to be able to accomplish these roles. Participating in each level of partnering classes throughout their ballet training helps dancers progress more quickly to be prepared for these advanced roles.
Register for partnering in addition to your core technique classes to get the most out of your training at En Pointe Ballet.
Partnering / Pas de deux classes - free for boys & men
